In the 1970s, Bucherer's Bullhead was made for professional Formula One drivers alone.
A vertically asymmetric shield-shaped case of 38 × 42mm was evidence of a robustness built to survive a punishing arena.
The movement is the Cal. Lemania 1872.
Its bloodline goes back to the Cal. Lemania 27CHRO, used in the earliest Omega Speedmaster.
That became the Cal. Lemania 1270 for supply as an ébauche, and this movement is its further evolution, developed for volume production.
A two-tone dial with luminous indexes.
The semi-instantaneous three-colour 30-minute counter is not mere decoration: functional beauty lives in it.
More than fifty years on, the condition is remarkably good.
Wearing its original period strap and buckle, it remains exactly as it was.
