A distinguished Swiss house founded in 1854 by Ariste Racine and his family.

The brand name ENICAR is the founder's name, Racine, spelled backwards.

As that name suggests, a manufacture spirit built on engineering and pride has been handed down without a break.

In the 1910s its watches were adopted by European railways and the US Air Force, and it was popular enough in Japan to carry a sign on a rooftop at Sukiyabashi in Ginza.

Behind that lay the outstanding watchmaking skill handed down through generations of the Racine family.

Here, arriving across the years, is a new-old-stock Ultrasonic.

A condition that makes it hard to believe more than fifty years have passed.

The moment it is in your hand, it feels like opening a time capsule.

The taste and the technique of its era live right down into the details.

The movement is the Cal. AR1010, made by the affiliated company Ariste Racine (A.R.), established in 1914.

The "AR" in the calibre name carries the founder Ariste Racine's own name.

Where the two names ENICAR and A.R. cross is the proof of a true manufacture.
