— The path of Oberon —

The Oberon Watch Company was established in 1951 by Erwin Rudolf and based in Wolfwil, Switzerland.

It was struck from the commercial register and wound up in 2002, leaving behind a history of making and selling watches and precision products.

It combines date, hours and minutes in a digital display, with a lollipop seconds hand at the centre as a cool single accent.

A railway track pattern shines on a sunburst dial burnt to champagne.

— Cal. BF866 —

Fitted with the BF866 calibre made by Baumgartner in the 1960s.

A manual-wind movement with a pin-lever escapement.

Inexpensive but distinctively built, it was used widely in jumping-hour and disc-display watches and underpinned mechanical watches for the mass market.

That period character and its particular mechanical interest are exactly what make it appealing as vintage today.
