— The watch called Japan's Explorer II —
The first Seiko Navigator Timer was an ambitious piece carrying a GMT function for reading two time zones.
A GMT hand with a red arrow makes one revolution of the dial in 24 hours, and by setting it against the rotating bezel with the crown you can read a second time zone.
The crown sits at four o'clock, as if to signal how rarely it needs handling.
— A rare metallic blue example —
The dial is a lustrous metallic blue.
Baton indexes with luminous dots and baton hands raise legibility, and the red GMT hand becomes the accent where functional beauty and beauty of form are fused.
The case draws a satin-finished C-line form, and the rotating bezel carries an odd-numbered scale unlike anything else.
