— The pulse of the circuit —
The Tissot PR 516 chronograph arrived in the golden age of motorsport in the 1970s. PR stands for "particularly resistant", and the watch delivered exactly the toughness and accuracy drivers were asking for.
— Reverse panda —
White sub-dials rise out of a matt black dial in the arrangement collectors call reverse panda. A brilliant orange chronograph hand supplies a modern accent and keeps legibility and energy in balance.
The design codes of the 1970s still read as strongly individual today.
— A Lemania heart —
The movement is the hand-wound Lemania calibre 872, from the line connected with Omega's Speedmaster. Half a century on it still sounds strong, and reminds you every time you use it that a mechanical chronograph is something you operate.
— The bearing of its decade —
A sharply cut stainless case with a practical tachymeter and pulsometer bezel. The natural character produced by years of use tells a story only vintage can.
