Breitling built close ties with the aviation industry from before the First World War, and established a firm position as a specialist in pilot's watches as aviation technology developed.

It continues to create watches for pilots today.

— The birth of the Navitimer —

Born in 1952, the Navitimer is the brand's icon.

Its name is a coinage combining "navigation" and "timer."

Carrying a flight computer that makes it possible to calculate average speed, distance travelled, fuel consumption and rate of climb, it spread among pilots worldwide almost at once.

— The Navitimer 92 —

The Navitimer 92 was released in 1992: a model made smaller by leaving out some displays.

At 38mm it is very compact, and it is slim enough that it sits comfortably even on a slender wrist.

It was originally a display piece in a Breitling boutique, and is in unused condition.

The dial is a vivid sunburst blue, with sub-dials running from the right: small seconds, 12-hour counter and 30-minute counter.

A special piece even among Navitimer 92s.

A model limited to 1,000 pieces, carrying the name of the Spanish Air Force aerobatic team Patrulla Águila.

Where a standard model has the Breitling logo below twelve, this limited edition carries a crest with a crown, an eagle and a fighter aircraft.

"PATRULLA AGUILA" is marked in red on a sub-dial.

— A movement developed with Dubois Dépraz —

The movement is the automatic Cal.30.

A two-storey construction combining an ETA Cal.2892-A2 base with a Dubois Dépraz module.

An original blue leather strap and original deployant buckle are included, adding further to the sense of occasion.
