— Night and day, on one dial —
The 1960s, when humanity was looking towards space. Rado's Star Liner reflects the air of that decade.
Silver that brightens under light against black with a settled depth: a quiet presence at the wrist.
— A rotating anchor —
The red anchor at twelve is Rado's emblem, and here it is made to rotate under centrifugal force — a considered piece of construction.
Inside is the dependable A. Schild calibre 1859, whose 25 jewels move the watch along smoothly. With a calendar, and the strength the name Daymaster implies, it still adds something to business dress.
— Substantial —
The seahorse stamped into the case back speaks for the water resistance and toughness of the period. At 38mm the case has a volume that reads as contemporary despite its age.
— Setting the date —
To advance the date, pull the crown to the time-setting position and move the hands back and forth between 20:10 and 24:00.
1) Move the hands forward to 12 o'clock (midnight). If the date changes, that position is midnight; if it does not, it is noon.
2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 20:10. The calendar is now ready to advance again.
3) Move the hands forward to 24:00 and confirm the date has advanced by one day.
Repeating steps 1 to 3 advances the date one day at a time.
— Vintage for daily use —
The Night & Day Star Liner is becoming scarce on the market. A dial that changes with the light, and the practicality to wear every day.
