PATEK PHILIPPE Calatrava ref.3796R cal.215 / Rose Gold, Silver Dial

The Calatrava is Patek Philippe's eternal staple.

Within it, ref.3796 is the very popular successor to the ref.96.

It follows the 96, known affectionately in Japan as the "kunroku." (The current version is the 5196.)

It is defined by a slightly small case of about 31mm carrying the celebrated Cal.215 at 28,800 vibrations per hour, still used in the current Calatrava.

Unlike the current ref.5196 with its larger face, everything from the case size to the placement of the indexes is exquisitely balanced, and it is often called the most beautiful design of all.

The dial colour is silver. A discontinued model.
