The Seiko Indicator was born in 1955, while the momentum of postwar reconstruction was carrying Japan forward.

Created by Seikosha with everything it had, it is Japan's first automatic wristwatch.

Manual watches were then the norm, so a fan-shaped indicator was fitted to show that this one wound itself.

It is an emblematic design that conveys the power reserve visually, and it carries into the present the innovation of a watch people called magic at the time.

After long years the dial has changed into a soft cream, wearing a character all its own.

Wedge indexes and dolphin hands give a composed atmosphere appropriate to its age, and the 36mm case settles naturally into modern dress.

The first-generation automatic movement Cal.11A, struck "SEIKOSHA."

It was developed on the base of the A. Schild Cal.1382.
