— An instrument that calculates the sky —
The first Navitimer was born in 1952, when aviation had no control towers and radar was not yet in place.
Pilots wore that instrument on the wrist and flew while calculating speed and fuel consumption.
— A scarce Navitimer 92 —
Ref.A30022 is one type in the Navitimer 92 series that appeared in the 1990s.
Black and blue dials exist; the black dial circulated in smaller numbers and is scarce.
The case is 38mm, which gives a slim impression next to current models.
— An unusual slide rule —
The rotating slide rule fitted here is not the usual one but a telemeter specification.
A telemeter is a function for measuring distance using the difference between the speed of light and the speed of sound.
— The line between modern and retro —
Along with its construction as a chronograph, the design keeps a certain retro impression.
Exquisitely aged luminous material speaks for its history.
