In the 1980s, while mechanical watches were being pushed back by the wave of quartz, the distinguished Swiss house Peseux quietly sent out the Cal. Peseux 7001.

At just 2.5mm thick it is an extremely slim design, yet it has surprisingly stable accuracy and durability, and it was loved by a great many watchmakers.

Later, many distinguished brands raised it to their own specifications.
