DOXA Graphic ref.11888-4 cal. ETA 2824 / Sunray Roman Dial

A Doxa Graphic, from the Swiss maker known to those who know, has arrived.

A modern, refined design stands out, with the brand and model names set at four to five o'clock, diagonally opposite the calendar.

The calendar sits in an unusual position between ten and eleven, and the round window's rim is heavily chamfered into a cone — another distinctive feature.

The movement fitted is an ETA Cal.2824, though in its early years the brand was a manufacture that designed and produced movements of its own.

In the 1900s it took a gold medal at the Italian International Exposition and was adopted for the dashboard of the French car maker Bugatti, among many achievements — a watch maker with real technical capability.

The Graphic exists in a wide range of variations, and sunray Roman dial examples are scarce among them.

The strap width is 22mm, and it gives the wrist real vintage character and presence.
