OMEGA Constellation Chronometer C-Line Day-Date ref.168.029 cal.751 / 18K Gold Bracelet

Gérald Genta designed the Patek Nautilus, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and much else.

This watch is a Constellation in what is known as the C-line, or Genta case, designed by him.

It is defined by an oval design drawing curves from the case sides through to the lugs.

It also has the earlier domed crystal rather than the later flat glass type, so a vintage flavour can be fully enjoyed.

A finely worked gold fluted bezel combined with a faintly sunray dial gives a strong sense of luxury — an appealing bearing worthy of a high-end Omega.

The centres of the baton indexes and the pencil hands are finished in black, which makes the time easy to read.

It has an original Omega 18k gold bracelet, which very rarely circulates, and its stretch is in better condition than the years would suggest.

The movement is the chronometer Cal.751.

A highly practical movement, the first to add a quick-change function to the date display.

Serviced, refinished and given an ultra-thin protective coating by Hakkindo, a former authorised Rolex dealer — the highest level of quality, so that it feels like new. The coating's resistance to scratching and impact has been confirmed by third-party testing.
