About the brand|サーチナ
— A silver sculpture you wear —
The Silver Line, built by the Swiss house of Certina in the 1970s. A finely textured bracelet flows out of a crisp rectangular case, and the watch sits on the wrist less like an instrument than like a well-made piece of jewellery.
Case and bracelet are conceived as one form. From the case to the buckle, the watch is sterling silver of 92.5% purity (SV925) — a material that repays the years with a depth no plating can imitate. Half a century on, it has lost none of its poise.
— Sterling silver throughout —
Case, bracelet and buckle are all sterling silver (SV925). A fine hairline brushing on the dial plays against the particular lustre of silver, and the patina the metal gathers with age is the quiet luxury of using the real thing.
— Swiss watchmaking, quietly at work —
Inside is Certina's calibre 19-30, a hand-wound movement running on 17 jewels. Every turn of the crown returns the unmistakable pulse of a mechanical watch.
— Complete after fifty years —
Offered with its original box and the Japanese department-store warranty still present — a set that rarely survives intact.
