Bucherer was founded in Lucerne and has now been at this for more than 130 years. What we have here is a vintage chronometer that carries the energy of the 1970s in both its design and its accuracy.

The cushion case is pure 1970s product design. Gold, strong but never coarse, is set against fine hairline brushing, and the contrast rewards every glance at the wrist. On the classical silver dial, applied markers and a date display balance usefulness against finish.

Deep in the case is a specially regulated movement based on the dependable ETA 2824, adjusted in five positions and for temperature. "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER" printed on the dial is the record of what its makers were willing to spend on accuracy.
