— The pioneer of Japanese water resistance —
Parawater was the name Citizen gave to Japan's first fully water-resistant watch in 1959. This piece, made through the 1960s into the 70s, takes that line directly.
A characterful silver dial with fine vertical brushing. Raised markers carry vivid green luminous dots at their points, giving the watch a poise that only vintage supplies.
— The 17-jewel hand-wound calibre 2500A —
Open the case back and the reliable hand-wound calibre Citizen 2500A is still keeping strong time after more than fifty years.
A hand-wound movement means no wasted thickness, and the slim result follows the wrist beautifully.
The "CTZ" stamp on the crown confirms originality, and states Japanese manufacturing pride without raising its voice.
— Function that does not date —
A clean three-hand design with a practical date. Half a century on, the completed look sits perfectly well in modern dressing.
