Dubey & Schaldenbrand, a brand with real character, marked sixty years since its founding in 2006.
It was founded by Georges Dubey and René Schaldenbrand.
On a Landeron calibre base, they developed the Index Mobile, an affordable split-seconds chronograph using a hairspring.
In 1995 Dubey transferred management to Cinette Robert, herself a movement collector.
She fitted Dubey & Schaldenbrand watches with old-stock movements, and they quickly gained a following.
Representative pieces include the Aerodyn (1997).
In recent years the firm has announced more classical designs.
This watch is a model carrying the simplified split-seconds chronograph, the Index Mobile.
The coil spring at the centre of the dial is its defining feature, and a black dial with an exquisite degree of burn will give you a chic look.
