Erguel: a watch brand known to those who know.
From 1932 to 1987 it supported the watch industry under distinguished names including Tramelan, Otto Rossel and Paul Buhré.
But in 1978 it was acquired by Dixi, the Swiss financial investment group that also held Zenith, and disappeared from the market.
This watch inherits that history.
A wine red dial you will not find on a contemporary watch sharpens its character.
What beats inside is the Valjoux 7733.
A manual-wind two-register chronograph movement born as the successor to the Valjoux 7730.
It appeared as an alternative to the expensive column-wheel type and opened a new era for the chronograph.
This movement was later customised and rebranded by distinguished names including Breitling, IWC and Panerai, each taking it in its own direction.
