— A name written into the chronograph line —
GALLET.
Its path began in 1466, and more than five hundred years later its name is still in the watch world.
Called the Master of Chronograph, it was loved by government bodies, armed forces and professionals.
— A design where functional beauty rises —
White sub-dials rising from a black dial.
Their contrast takes legibility to its limit — not mere decoration but a honed bearing for someone measuring time.
— Details that hold character —
The brand logo struck at twelve, and a red seconds hand standing out vividly within the deep black, adding a quiet character.
— A great calibre, beating quietly —
The movement is the Valjoux 7736.
A manual-wind two-register chronograph produced from 1966 to 1973, and a historic mechanism that helped spread the chronograph.
— A turning point in technical innovation —
The expensive column-wheel chronograph was once available only to a few.
Appearing as its alternative, the 7736 opened a new era for the chronograph.
— A value handed down —
Watches of this period, carrying the great calibres produced by Valjoux, Venus and Landeron, have a commanding character and deserve to be handed down as collector's pieces.
