TUDOR Submariner ref.75090 Blue / 36mm, No Lume Surrounds

The blue version of the Tudor Submariner 75090, released in 1989.

Tudor is famous as Rolex's diffusion brand, and this is a 36mm Submariner that Rolex itself never made.

Tritium luminous material and indexes of the type known as "no surrounds," with no metal frames around them, give it a design only a vintage diver has.

The Submariners of the time came in three models: the 39mm 79090, the boy's size 36mm 75090 seen here, and the 33mm 73090 known as the mini sub.

Each came in black and blue, and the blue ones are known as the "blue sub."

Unlike the later ref.75190, the crown and caseback carry the crown marking.

It is fitted with an original bracelet, now disappearing from the market — a scarce piece.

It is treated as a boy's size, but counting the crown guards it is close to 39mm, which makes it just the right size for anyone with a slimmer wrist.

With the bracelet's extension closed the wrist size is 15cm, opening to 19cm.
