The Seven Star Custom Deluxe arrived in the late 1970s with all the heat of Japan's growth years behind it. A black dial against vivid orange block markers, and a chequered inner ring around the top of the dial that still speaks eloquently for the sharp design thinking of the time.

At its heart is calibre 5270, known for durability and reliability. A black-coated rotor turns quietly, hand-winding is included, and day and date displays make this a vintage watch that is genuinely practical to live with.

A substantial cushion case and the original heavy stainless bracelet. The C-marked crown and the PARAWATER stamp on the case back are the small places where Citizen's care of the period concentrated. Urban, and still a step ahead.
