— Speaking across a century —
A century ago, accuracy was everything at sea. Ulysse Nardin concentrated its precision lineage into small cases for the people crossing rough water.
"LOCLE & GENEVE" is printed on the dial. The neat wire lugs, repaired more than once, carry the turbulence of the 1930s, and the patina across the dial has spread like a geology that only long years can draw.
— STAYBRITE, a name in the history of materials —
"STAYBRITE" is stamped on the case back: a rust-resisting stainless steel containing chromium and nickel. In the 1930s it was a special material permitted only to a few fine watches, and its texture — moist, deeply shadowed — is not quite the stainless steel of today. Blued steel Breguet hands quietly sharpen the antique character.
— A structure handed down —
The bridges are carefully finished and fifteen rubies shine among them. Wind the crown and a regular rhythm rises, as though time had simply started again.
