This watch is a two-register chronograph from the good old Ulysse Nardin of the 1950s.
It comes from a period before the anchor mark that is now Ulysse Nardin's symbol, and its distinctive Arabic indexes and fancy (cat's foot) lugs give it a fine antique atmosphere.
A tachymeter runs around the outside of the dial and a telemeter around the inside.
The complex design drawn into a limited dial area has an exotic quality you will not find on a modern watch, and it is both functional and appealing.
The movement is the Landeron 48.
Landeron movements are well regarded as widely used and dependable, and their feature is that the lower pusher at four o'clock handles both stop and reset (normally the upper pusher starts and stops, and the lower one resets).
It is no exaggeration to call it the staple movement of the vintage chronograph.
With the typical layout of a two-register chronograph, it is an antique watch that lets you show an understated attention to detail, in a working setting as much as anywhere.
