The Aquatimer is IWC's diver's watch collection, with more than half a century of history behind it.
The Aquatimer was developed in response to the growing popularity of marine sports in the 1960s.
Within it, the Deep Two was announced as the successor to the Deep One, the revolutionary diving watch with a mechanical depth gauge.
Models with a stainless bracelet as well as case circulate in very small numbers, and this is a rare example complete with its original guarantee and box.
Developed as a professional diver's watch, it is defined by a distinctive inner bezel and by luminous indexes with excellent legibility underwater.
The scale between dial and bezel shows diving depth: the blue indicator moves constantly to show the current depth, while the red indicator stops at the maximum depth reached during a dive.
Ideal for marine sports, of course — and at a commanding 46mm it can also be enjoyed as a point of interest in how you dress.
IWC (International Watch Company), founded in 1868, is a Swiss luxury watch brand based in German-speaking Schaffhausen.
IWC's watchmaking, balancing excellent practicality with design stripped of anything unnecessary, is often called plain and strong, and appeals to everyone from beginners to connoisseurs.
Serviced, refinished and given an ultra-thin protective coating by Hakkindo, a former authorised Rolex dealer — the highest level of quality, so that it feels like new. The coating's resistance to scratching and impact has been confirmed by third-party testing.
