Club La Mer was Citizen's traditional-watch line of the 1980s and 90s, made for buyers with a developed eye. Its concept of the time — "urban traditional for exciting professionals" — explains the balance: classical, but with intelligence and a distinctly metropolitan streak.

— A composed face —

A refined gold-toned case, a fine linen texture across the centre of the dial, and an ivory-toned index ring around it forming a handsome two-piece dial. Composed Roman numerals and deep blue Breguet-style hands recall an older Europe and bring real dignity to the wrist.

— A mechanical movement on show —

The highlight is the proper hand-wound movement visible through the sapphire case back. Calibre 6631A with 17 jewels, dressed in Côtes de Genève-style striping, can be watched at work whenever you feel like it.
