— Tradition meeting change —
Cyma has supported the golden age of Swiss watchmaking since 1862. This is a scarce piece from the 1970s, when the company sat within the SYNCHRON group — an alliance of Cyma, Doxa and Ernest Borel. "by SYNCHRON" on the dial records the bond between brands that shared technology and walked through the quartz crisis together.
— Silence, well shaped —
A sharply drawn tonneau case with the strength and modernity particular to the 1970s. The silver sunray dial changes subtly with the angle of light, and a case finished in a deliberate combination of hairline and polish gives it a grown-up refinement.
— A steady beat —
Calibre ETA 2783, from the years just after the ETA alliance was formed, when its watchmakers still had something to prove. The date at six keeps both function and symmetry intact.
The original bracelet, which still carries the air of its period, follows the wrist comfortably.
