Made in the 1960s by the distinguished Swiss house of Ulysse Nardin, this automatic chronometer concentrates onto the wrist the accuracy and reliability built up in its marine chronometers.

In a period when many models ran at a high beat of 36,000 vph, this one deliberately uses a low beat of 21,600.

That choice might be called a quiet pride, placing weight on the balance between accuracy and durability.

A composed bearing, woven from a 36mm stainless round case, a radially finished dial and upright indexes.

The caseback is a screw back: not water resistant, but robust in construction.

The movement is the automatic chronometer Cal.N11KJ.
