The case is generously made in sterling silver. As the name Vermeil suggests, it was once gold-plated over solid silver; what it has arrived at instead is the deep, smoked tone of aged silver. The interior, firmly protected, has escaped that change and keeps its original colour. The resulting double character is exactly what vintage alone can produce.
